I sent a link with a mp4 file, but when clicking download under the video it just takes you to a player rather than downloading the video.5 votes
We’ll be reviewing all of the download pages to make them easier to understand and less misleading overall. We think these updates will happen sometime in April or May.
Like you list "Links" on the account web-page, also list "People" so all the transfers and their status can be viewed on a big spacious page. That tiny pull-down app window gives me claustrophobia.5 votes
Thanks for the suggestion for listing the transfers in the web account. It makes sense of course. I’m not sure when we’ll be able to implement this, but our product team is aware of the usefulness of this feature.
When uploading a link and arriving on the link's webpage, there's just a scrolling bar and no progress. It would be way better for recipients to see the progress bar.5 votes
We’ll be overhauling the website to reflect changes like a progress bar when uploading links to give “downloaders” more visibility on the upload’s progress.
It would be fantastic, if I could receive files through my own website or when I post a specific link online. When someone clicks this link, it would open their Infinit and prefill my contact information.4 votes
This is a really cool feature. We’d love to start working on something like this. At the moment, it’s not in our roadmap, but we’ll discuss it at our next product meeting for sure. Thanks!
I had the idea you could let users access their transfer using a web-based p2p client. So when a user doesn't have administrator rights they could still access their files on anyone's computer. Web based p2p clients already exist, although they tend to use java. Which is kind of insecure... I'm not a html programmer, but maybe it can be done using html5?3 votes
We’ve thought about doing this a while back. Right now, we see Infinit as a desktop application that integrates with a person’s workflow and doesn’t require a more arduous and time consuming process of accessing a website each time you want to share a file. Nevertheless, we are incredibly open to this idea. We’ll see how things evolve and perhaps integrate this feature in the future!
Having a preview on link pages for documents would be valuable so users don't have to download, open and then check the file.3 votes
I sent invitations to 9 persons with my referer link (infinit.me/Vrizzt8) but they don't benefit of the 500Mb extra data. Neither do I, I don't see the 1Gb for anyone of them...
Can you help me with that please ? It's my team work !

Thx a lot !3 votes
Once the user gets a download link, it would be good if there was an option to comment on that link. Lets say If my friend downloaded the file, he will just leave a comment that he downloaded and its very useful for sender.3 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. Commenting could be an interesting way of interacting around a file on a download page. At the moment, a sender that shares a link can see how many times the link was accessed in the main Link view as well.
Infinit is great. Because it is great, I use it everywhere. Because I use it everywhere, I end up having signed in instances on devices that belong to friends, family, co-workers, etc. Sometimes I only remember to sign out after it is too late. What could help? Something akin to Facebook's "End All Activity" under Settings > Security > Where You're Logged In.2 votes
Thanks for the kind words and for your support! Although there is no single-sign out button at the moment, there is a way to manage which devices belong to you. You can remove devices on which you have singed in on from your profile (https://infinit.io/account) under the Devices section. Removing devices will log you out of those specific devices.
It's not really necessary, but i was missing a post date on feedback topics (I would like to know what day you replied for example).2 votes
We’ll be adding tutorial videos to the website this month or next for every platform in order to offer some more visibility on how to use Infinit from the get-go.
I would like to have an admin console or dashboard where I can monitor my company's activity on Infinit including users, the files that are being transferred (their properties) as well as any exchanges of files outside of the company using Infinit. Also, if I could export or generate reports that would be perfect.2 votes
The download button is not prompting the right action in Safari. Works fine for me on Chrome but on Safari, instead of downloading, it brings you to a full screen player.2 votes
We’re looking for a solution to this, but with Safari, it’s not completely evident as to how to have the same interaction across certain file types.
I saw in multiple occasions that when downloading a file from
Default seems to use TLS 1.0 instead of TLS 1.2 (This is bad =s)
Also, but less problematic, the webserver _seems_ to delivers a preferred TLS connection with a ciphersuite
You could upgrade the default to something like
Hi there! Thanks for noticing this. Our tech team has taken this into account, and I think we’ll be updating to 1.2 next week!
Can't find anything about security , encryption , privacy, selling information to third party. Nothing....
This is VERY suspicious2 votes
Hello. Here is a new link that better describes the basics of the encryption method we use. http://help.infinit.io/knowledgebase/articles/517179-can-you-provide-details-about-your-peer-to-peer-en While you’re right that we haven’t published anything for the general public, we will soon have a more elaborate explanation of the technology we use and its functionality. Sorry for the incredibly long delay.
i cant see the message what i get, because its too long. how can i read that? is there a solution?1 vote
"Infinit isn't available on your version of OS X (only 10.7+)
But there's good news! You can update to Apple's newest OS for free here."

It would be great to filter/sort by kind of files (video, images, pdf, ...) in the https://infinit.io/account/links1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion. This is in fact a cool idea! Cheers for posting it.
I have added my own domain to the inifint, but all downloadlinks that are made by infinit are still https://infinit.io/_/XXXX. I can manually change this to my own added domain and this works, but that's not really a friendly option.
I also added a background image in the branding option, but this doesn't seem to show up anywhere. These things are still holding me back using Infinit to communicate with my clients instead of a custum wetransfer. Although Inifinit is many times more easy and friendly to use
Fix those issues and Infinit is the thing I use!1 vote
Thanks for your suggestions! We’ll be releasing an update very soon that will generate your links using your custom domain automatically. It really shouldn’t be much longer now. Regarding the background image, could you please get in touch with me by email at email@example.com so we can exchange further?
