I've manually installed infinit under arch linux (by manually extracting files from the deb), and the icon is showing in the tray (bottom left) of gnome-shell, but when I use the menu show dock, nothing happens…
I suppose you're only supporting ubuntu window manager (unity), right?
do you have plans to support the widely adopted gnome shell window manager?7 votes
Currently iOS and Android apps are being tested. I hope Windows also gets a phone app. A universal app would be a plus!813 votes
Thank you for being so vocal about your support of an app for Windows Phone. We haven’t forgotten you! We just don’t have a big enough team to develop a third mobile platform at the moment. A Windows phone app is definitely something we’re exploring though.
I almost migrated from Pushbullet this Infinit but, it has no chrome extension. I am not able to just right click on any webpage and send it to my device.
So I am back on Pushbullet until I get a chrome app for this.5 votes
Thanks for your suggestion. We haven’t yet decided if we’ll include such a feature in Infinit. Right now, we’re largely focused on file transfer, but we may move in this direction in the next few months. We’ll update you by email if we do of course.
looking to ditch pushbullet, unlike you they aren't any closer to commiting to E2E encryption. have you got any plans for firefox addons?2 votes
At the moment, we don’t have plans for a direct browser integration. Pushbullet uses a generic cloud to operate its app. Infinit uses a custom p2p protocol that lends itself to native apps. We’re thinking about how to offer the advantages of a browser extension in the native app though.
Port Android app to Chrome OS. Details on how to port Android apps to Chrome OS https://developer.chrome.com/apps/getstarted_arc13 votes
Thanks for the feedback. To be honest, we hadn’t thought about Chrome OS, but it could be an interesting platform for us. We’ll certainly think about porting over Infinit, and we’ll keep you updated here.
I have a blackberry phone and have to use and apk file to run android app on it, and ít' very anoying, i'd love to see infinity on blackberry os1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion. To be transparent, we don’t have plans to build a BBOS app specifically. We’ll likely be adding Infinit to the Amazon App Store which can be downloaded on your Blackberry. You can read the details here: http://us.blackberry.com/apps/amazon-appstore.html
