I have a 33 character password that works on the website but not on ios 9.3.2.
This is true on several devices.1 vote
There's currently no way to download from the web on iOS. But infinit can open a URL and play media files. Allowing us to download that file would in turn enable sharing to a media app for playback and management.
All this can be done by sending a media file via infinit from a PC or another device, but I'd like to do this entirely on my mobile device.1 vote
Нужно видеть процент отправки фото/видео в процессе. Ждала всю ночь, видела лишь крутящееся колесико. Результат=01 vote
Currently, if I want to send 100 photos, I need to tap all of them separately to check them.
A new mode to e.g. select the first and last photo to select all photos in between would be nice.
Other modes like "Select All" / "None" might prove useful as well.
In comparison, in the desktop application, I can use the OS file browser to select multiple files, and drag/drop.5 votes
Thank you for your suggestion. We Will certainly take it into account as we discuss our product roadmap over the coming weeks.
Make it possible to send iWork Documents to the iPad and then open them in iWorks Apps on iPad. Currently, this doesn not work.2 votesAdminInfinit (Support, Infinit) responded
Thanks for pointing this out. It seems that Apple changed something recently that broke our ability to support these file types. We’ve just made a fix for it, but it won’t be available until our next update. Our apologies for the inconvenience. We’ll update the status here once the update is released.
I go to camera, select pictures I'd like to send through Infinit. "Files copied!" pops out, "Open Infinit now to send them!" With app icon right next to it.
It'd be wonderful if I could click on the app icon to open the app, instead of having to search for it and launch it from homescreen.2 votes
Right now, it seems like I can only add files from one app via the extension. What if I want to send several files from several apps using the extension?1 vote
I'd like to be able to see the files I have send from my computer to my friends, on my ios devices and vise versa.
I have sent some files to other people from my Mac or my iPhone and I want to be able to download and/or resend them using a different device (which is logged in to my infinit account).
So it would be great if all of our uploads where synced across all of our devices.
Thank you.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion. Right now, Infinit is a pure file transfer app. We’ve considered venturing into a sync app, and may do so in the future. For now, however, we’re trying to keep things as simple as possible.
We certainly understand the advantages of implementing a system close to what you have described, but with our current technology, and with limited time, we will likely address these concerns later on rather than in the near future.
Pushbullet is a web app, which allows them more flexibility than us. Extensions in iOS are actually completely separate apps, and they’re limited solely to making http requests. Because Pushbullet only uses http requests in their apps, they’re able to mimic their iOS app within the extension. However, Infinit is not a web app, and is limited to our backend technology, which is a lot more powerful than that of Pushbullet.
Because Apple limits what we can do in the extension to web requests, we can only send data to the real Infinit app. In fact, Tumblr ran into the same problem, and if you are interested, you can read about it here: http://engineering.tumblr.com/post/97658880154/what-we-learned-building-the-tumblr-ios-share
We’ll be following what Apple does with extensions in order to improve this experience where we can though.
this idea is pretty linked to this one : http://help.infinit.io/forums/95479-general-feedback/suggestions/7205158-access-links-from-the-mobile-apps
But specifically add the ability to generate link from the extension. Exemple of use-case : select some photos in Photos app or some files in Transmit app and generate a compressed file to send to Infinit and generate link to send to someone.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion! We may test this feature in the future, but at the moment, we’re quite focused on the send and receive features of the mobile apps. The reason for this is that by having content pass through the Infinit app rather than a web link, we’re able to better manage issues with file types or incompatibilities with raw file downloads particularly on iOS. That’s not to say this isn’t possible of course.
Interesting suggestion. Playing videos on a Chromecast could be a big value added.
At the moment, it's a pain to scroll through a giant list of photos and videos. There must be a better way to organize this.5 votes
Our apologies for not providing an update sooner for this feature. We’ve looked into a better integration of content from other apps into Infinit, but unfortunately, Apple prevents any app from using content outside the camera. As a result, the only way to share folders, albums, etc. is by using the iOS 8 Share Extension. We’ll keep an eye out for new developments in iOS 9 though.
When you share photos, it is often very useful if you can view a larger preview of pictures your selecting WHILE you're selecting them. In Facebook, you can do this by a "long click" on a photo.1 vote
I wish Infinit would remember where I left off in between sessions of viewing video. Currently I have to write down the elapsed time so that I can scrub the playhead back to that location the next time I open the video file, which is a real bother.2 votes
Could you please add supoort for 1Password login?5 votes
I'd like to be able to access content from my different cloud services in the Infinit app.5 votes
If you report a problem, when you press send (or cancel) the dialog box simply disappears... leaving you wandering if the report was successfully sent or not.1 vote
Good idea. We’ll look into doing this soon as we improve the feedback loops in the app.
